STS Ultrasonic Water Meters Empower Smart Water Services Drag
Adopting the advanced ultrasonic time-difference metering principle, the STS ultrasonic water meter has no moving mechanical parts such as impellers or gears. It fundamentally eliminates wear, jamming and accuracy drift. With a lower starting flow rate and superior accuracy, it can precisely capture tiny dripping water leakage.
The product applies the internationally accepted STS prepaid protocol and complies with IEC industry standards, supporting encrypted TOKEN for local top-up and billing. Its key advantage lies in fully standalone local charge control, which operates independently without relying on cloud networks. Even under offline conditions, it reliably performs functions including billing, low-balance alerts, valve shutoff upon arrears and tiered water price calculation. The data is secure and tamper-proof, suitable for overseas regions with poor network coverage as well as domestic underground meter pits with weak signals.
Two structural options are available: integrated and split types. Customizable functions include wireless communication, DLMS protocol, local OTA upgrades and configurable low-voltage alarm thresholds. The meter body comes standard in 57-3 copper, with high-grade 58/59 copper available on request. Plastic housing structures can be adjusted to meet project requirements. The whole unit achieves IP67 protection rating, and circuit boards are coated with three-proof paint, enabling long-term stable operation under wide-temperature, high-humidity and complex conditions with outstanding environmental resistance.
