Working principle and functions of smart electric meters
Working principle: When the electric energy meter is working, the electric energy consumed by the user is converted into voltage and current signals. After being sampled by the sampling circuit, the electric energy meter's special integrated circuit processes it into a pulse signal proportional to the power consumption. The MCU records the electric power pulse and stores it. The power in the corresponding time period is processed and recorded according to the content of the clock and time period. The LCD cycles and displays the parameters selected by the user. The stored information data can be transmitted through an infrared meter reading machine or RS485 communication interface.
Basic functions:
1. Electric energy measurement
Measure forward and reverse active electric energy; (reverse electric energy is accumulated according to forward electric energy), and the power outage data is maintained for more than 10 years;
Store the electric energy data of each rate for 13 months including this month; the data transfer boundary time is the set automatic meter reading date.
2. Rates and time periods
Programmable setting of peak, flat and valley rates for 12 periods. The default setting is 2 time periods, the minimum interval between time periods is 30 minutes, and the time period setting can span zero points. It adopts a hardware clock circuit with a built-in crystal and has a temperature compensation circuit. Automatically adjust time, date and leap year automatic switching function within the valid period of 2099.
3. Display and monitoring
6-digit LCD display, the electric energy meter displays a 5-digit integer plus 1 as a decimal (it can also be set to a 5-digit integer, and then displays 2 as a decimal), and the data is displayed in a loop. It can display the current date, time, current and last month and last month's power, station number and other parameters.
4. Meter display
The automatic cycle of the electric meter includes five items: date, time, current total, peak and valley electricity. The default cycle display interval of the electric meter is 10 seconds.
