Precautions for installation and maintenance of smart water meters
The following aspects should be noted in the installation and maintenance of smart water meters:
1. Newly installed pipes should first be cleared of debris in the pipes to prevent the water meter from being blocked.
2. The installation site of the water meter should be protected from exposure to the sun and freezing, pollution and flooding should be avoided, and it should be easy to disassemble and read. Anti-freeze measures should be taken in winter to ensure the normal operation of the water meter.

3. Objects cannot be placed on the water meter for a long time to avoid damage to the water meter.
4. For water meters that have been used for a long time, errors may occur due to blockage of debris, rust, etc. in the pipes. Users are not allowed to destroy the lead seals on their own and can go to the water meter calibration station for repair.
5. During transportation, the water meter needs to be placed horizontally to avoid damage to components due to tilting and shaking, which will affect the measurement accuracy of the water meter.

6. Pay attention to the connection length of the water meter when installing the water meter. When the distance between the two ends of the pipe exceeds the connection length of the water meter, is too short, or is not on the same axis, the pipe distance should be corrected, otherwise the water meter pipe fittings will be damaged or it will not be installed.
7. Pay attention to the direction of the water inlet during installation. The corresponding specifications of the pipe nut should be used between the connecting pipe and the water meter, and the pipe nut should be tightened after the sealing ring is installed to prevent water leakage.
8. Do not place the meter with wireless communication in a closed environment to avoid affecting the signal quality.

9. Select the water meter of the corresponding specifications according to the pipeline flow rate. It is advisable to use a flow rate close to or less than the commonly used flow rate. The diameter of the water meter cannot be determined by the diameter of the pipeline.
10. The upper part of the water meter, that is, the pipeline system, should use the least elbows and valves. The water meter should always be filled with water, and the flow rate should not be less than 0.005Mpa when it is zero. Avoid air entering the pipeline. If air may enter the water meter, a vent valve should be installed upstream of the water meter to ensure the accuracy of the water meter measurement.
