Guide to Using a Self-Shut Valve

I. Function of the Self-Shut Valve

When the gas in the pipeline experiences underpressure, overflow, or overpressure, the self-shut valve automatically closes without any external force.

II. Basic Status of the Self-Shut Valve

1. Closed: The red knob retracts, indicating an abnormality such as underpressure, gas outage, or leak. Rectify the potential problem before use.

2. Open: The center red knob protrudes slightly, indicating normal gas use.

3. Overpressure: The red knob protrudes, indicating excessive pipeline pressure. Close the main valve and contact the gas company.

III. Correct Use of the Self-Shut Valve

1. During normal gas use: There is no need to manually operate the self-shut valve; simply leave it open. After use, simply close the stove valve and the stove valve. There is no need to close the self-shut valve. Frequent opening and closing may affect its performance.

2. Restoring the Gas Shutoff Valve After Automatic Close:

Confirm there are no gas leaks (this can be determined by smelling). Open the main gas valve. Gently pull the yellow outer ring or knob to the top, causing the red knob to bulge. This will restore gas supply.

IV. Troubleshooting Common Problems with Self-Shutoff Valves

1. The stove won't ignite:

Check whether the manual knob on the self-shutoff valve is fully open and the front valve is open. Turn off the stove and pull the yellow knob for 15-20 seconds. If the red knob retracts, there may be a leak and you should contact the gas company. If it does not retract, the stove battery may be dead or the stove may be malfunctioning.

2. The gas shutoff valve won't open after closing:

Check for a gas outage, unpaid gas meter bills, or low battery. If these reasons are not present, the possible cause is abnormal pipeline pressure or a malfunctioning gas shutoff valve. Do not force the valve; close the main valve and contact the gas company.

3. Overpressure (red knob protruding): Immediately close the main gas valve and maintain ventilation. Try to pull the yellow button to reset it. If the red button is still pushed out, it means the overpressure has not been relieved and you need to contact the gas company.
