Gas Safety Tips
I. Daily Gas Safety Tips
1. Adhere to the "One On, Three Off" rule
After using gas, promptly turn off the stove switch and the valve in front of the stove. When away for an extended period, be sure to close the valve in front of the meter to cut off the gas supply at the source.

2. Keep someone at hand when using gas
When using a gas stove, always supervise it to prevent boiling water from spilling, drafts, or other issues that could cause the stove to stall and cause a gas leak.

3. Maintain Ventilation
When using gas for extended periods, keep the kitchen well ventilated. Installing an exhaust fan is recommended. For kitchens with a volume of less than 6 cubic meters, air should be exchanged at least five times per hour to prevent oxygen depletion and carbon monoxide poisoning.
4. Regularly Check for Potential Hazards
Regularly inspect gas meters, pipe connections, valves, hoses, and other leak-prone areas. Replace or repair any loose or aging issues promptly to prevent leaks from exposing to open flames and causing explosions.

5. Use qualified gas appliances.
Purchase gas appliances that meet national standards and are equipped with safety flameout devices. Natural gas stoves and water heaters have an eight-year service life and should be replaced promptly to prevent incomplete combustion and the production of toxic gases.
6. Properly install gas appliances.
Gas water heaters should be installed in the kitchen or balcony. Installation in enclosed spaces such as bathrooms and bedrooms is strictly prohibited. Forced exhaust and balanced gas appliances are preferred, and flues must be installed in a standardized manner. Gas stoves must be equipped with safety flameout devices to ensure safe use.

II. Gas Leak Emergency Response
1. Immediately shut off the gas source: If you discover a gas leak, immediately close the main gas valve and shut off the gas source.
2. Ventilate: Open doors and windows to ventilate and reduce indoor gas concentrations. However, do not operate any electrical appliances indoors (such as turning on lights, exhaust fans, or making phone calls). Do not wear or take off synthetic clothing (to prevent static electricity), and eliminate all sources of ignition.
3. Evacuate and call the police: Immediately evacuate to a safe area outdoors, call the gas company's emergency number and the police, and wait for professional assistance.
III. Ten Prohibitions on Gas Use
1. Do not use multiple gas sources simultaneously in the kitchen (e.g., piped gas and bottled liquefied gas).
2. Do not stack flammable and explosive items in the kitchen to prevent fires and explosions.
3. Do not tie ropes, wires, or hang objects on gas facilities. Firecrackers are prohibited near gas facilities.

4. Do not add, modify, relocate, or install gas facilities or gas metering equipment without authorization.
5. Do not occupy or cover gas pipelines to prevent damage and leaks.
6. Do not convert rooms with gas pipelines or equipment into bedrooms, living rooms, or bathrooms.
7. Do not seal or conceal gas pipelines, valves, or equipment to avoid concealing potential leaks.

8. Do not move, cover, alter, damage, or remove safety warning signs on gas facilities without authorization.
9. Do not illegally use gas facilities. Theft and resale of gas are strictly prohibited. 10. It is not allowed to open or close the valve box or gas meter box without authorization, and it is strictly prohibited to damage the gas facilities.
